Digital Future in Focus 2016

For Canada, the total digital population is only about 30.5 million people while Canada's current population is sitting just over 35 million people, that is 5 million people that you would not be able to reach digitally.  While out of the 30.5 million, only 28.2 million can be reached online and a surprising 18 million can be reached by either smartphone or tablet. Canada's current demographics for digital population is 50% male and 50% female. While most people would think that the demographics would be aimed more towards the younger generation, they are actually aimed towards the age range 35-54 years of age. While nearly 83% of Millennials are mobile users and 12% of the 83% don’t uses desktops at all. That makes Millennials 5% less likely to use a desktop and 41% more likely to use a mobile device over a desktop. Not just for Canada but along with the United States of America and the United Kingdom, almost a quarter of all digital media time is spent on social media with others coming in second and entertainment third.


What I found most surprising about Digital Future in Focus 2016 is that digital media is focused more on the age group of 34-54 rather than the younger generations that are more “Tech Savvy”. Looking at the Demographics Composition percentage of Major Social Networks, I personally believe that these numbers do accurately represent the people that I know I those age categories,

Why LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is primarily used for three things. The three main usages include: media, partnerships and clients. With these three great primary reasons used in LinkedIn, there is no way your business can fail. The media aspect is used to help expose your business to everyone else on line. Partnerships are also a great way to strengthen your business with support from a partner. Finally, clients are the last main supporting fact from LinkedIn, because without the help of client’s business, you wouldn’t have a business.


I believe media is the most effective way to help your blog company. More people now than ever are shopping online rather than in store. Being able to get your blog company out there is a great wat to attract business, to help your blog company grow. Using social media to attract cliental is great in the way that you can work on what you want to say, how you want things to come across or what you want your brand to stand for. Social media gives you the opportunity to say what you want to get across for your blog company, but gives you the time to look It over and edit it rather than just saying random words.
