Digital Future in Focus 2016

For Canada, the total digital population is only about 30.5 million people while Canada's current population is sitting just over 35 million people, that is 5 million people that you would not be able to reach digitally.  While out of the 30.5 million, only 28.2 million can be reached online and a surprising 18 million can be reached by either smartphone or tablet. Canada's current demographics for digital population is 50% male and 50% female. That makes Millennials 5% less likely to use a desktop and 41% more likely to use a mobile device over a desktop. Not just for Canada but along with the United States of America and the United Kingdom, almost a quarter of all digital media time is spent on social media with others coming in second and entertainment third.
